The Official Announcement of The Prototype of Mobile Community Access Point (MCAP)
The official announcement of the prototype of Mobile Community Access Point (MCAP) was held on Wednesday, December 17th 2008 at the front yard of the Department of Communication and Telematics of Indonesia. This event was attended by the Ministry of Communication and Telematics, Mr. Mohammad Nuh, which at the same time test-drived the features of the prototype.
PT. Infiniti Reka Solusi working together with Department of Communication and Telematics of Indonesia is in progress to develop 32 units MCAP that will be distributed to 32 locations in Indonesia. MCAP is the real effort to promote, distribute, sosialize, and utilize information technology, telematics, and access to the internet in particular to the citizen so they can unleash its full benefits.
MCAP is a specific re-engineered minibus vehicle equiped with personal computers, printer, wireless communication peripherals, and multimedia systems that will be used as a public mobile access point for internet for suburban areas around Indonesia. Services such as internet access, phone calls, printing, facsimile, and multimedia can be delivered using MCAP.
In this event, two prototypes of MCAP was displayed. The public and the reporters was very enthusiatic to try to operate the features in the prototypes. |
